Hi, I'm Matteo Breda.
I'm a Game Designer based in Milan, Italy.

Formula Legends

For 3DClouds I have been the Lead Game Designer of the upcoming Formula Legends, a love letter to the history and legacy of the Formula 1 motorsport in the form of a lighthearted sim-cade racing game.
I directed the design development of the game from prototype to release.
I designed and tuned the driving model of 16 different generations of Formula vehicles.
I balanced AI performance during races and designed many of the AI behaviors.
I designed and balanced many more game systems and race features.

Hot Wheels Monster Truck: Stunt Mayhem

For 3DClouds I have been the Lead Game Designer of Hot Wheels Monster Truck: Stunt Mayhem, a stunt-based highscore-focused arcade driving game.
I directed the design development of the game from prototype to release.
I shaped the Hot Wheels IP into Mattel's first Monster Truck arcade driving game.
I designed and balanced the driving model of the truck, including the physics-based omnidirectional stunt system.
I shaped the level design identity of the game, prototyping all of the in-game arenas and finalizing many of them.
I designed and balanced all the game's score, progression and reward systems.

Monster Energy Supercross 6

For Milestone I have been the Level / Track Designer and Gameplay Designer of the 2022 Supercross Championship's official videogame.
I led the complete overhaul of the Compound (the free-roaming open-world area of the game), from the initial concepting and blockout phase up until finalization.
I created all the fictional racetracks and trails for the Compound.
I recreated many the official 2022 tracks, from the initial photogrammetry up to finalization.
I designed, implemented and balanced various game features, such as the all new Rhythm Attack Game Mode.

For Milestone I have been the Track Designer and Gameplay Designer of the 2021 Supercross Championship's official videogame.
I created many of the studio-made fictional circuits.
I recreated the official 2021 tracks, from the initial photogrammetry up to finalization.
I designed, implemented and balanced various features and game modes, such as the all new Supercross Academy.

I have been the Game Designer and Producer of Floor Smash!, the third mobile hypercasual game of the Italian-based indie studio "Affinity Project".
I developed the core game concept centered around objects that must be dropped on a building, smashing increasingly more floors.
I collaborated with publishers such as Kwalee, Lion Studios and Boombit!
I prototyped and fine-tuned the gameplay.
I designed the entire UX / UI experience.
I managed a team of 5 throughout the development cycle.

I have been the Game Designer and Producer of Bounce That Bird!, the first mobile hypercasual game of the Italian-based indie studio "Affinity Project".
I developed the core game concept of a skill game where a bird too chubby to fly must bounce from treetop to treetop.
I prototyped and fine-tuned the gameplay.
I designed and implemented all the 100+ levels in the game.
I designed the entire UX / UI experience.
I managed a team of 5 throughout the development cycle.
